JANOS : In 2000 we joined Vineyard church in building a shelter for Misteco Indians and started to run a monthly clinic there from before the construction started.
In 2003 the Mexican government placed extra doctors in Janos for the summers when the Misteco migrant workers are there so we worked ourselves out of a job a bit .
The Misteco's however continue to need help on hygienic teaching and their children are not covered by the insurance the parents get from working on the farms, so we continue our annual clinic to their children.
ANAPRA : In '99 Ester started a clinic in this cardboard town next to Juarez -a 1 hour drive from El Paso Texas- along side a church plant from Vineyard church . In '02 the Mexican government built a clinic nearby and we transferred our patients to them. The government clinic does a great job treating and teaching the people for their health problems there so we are no longer needed.
But because there are still very few female doctors & specific care for female problems we joined YWAM in their clinics each 3 rd week of October to help women with prenatal care, post labor care and any other female problems.
STA ELENA : from 2000 through 2004 we built an orphanage home in this small Tarahumara town with a befriended mission organization. We did construction work there 1 week a month and ran a 'walk in clinic' at the same time.
The home now has 83 children going to school in it and is doing well.
We will help the houseparents with what ever they need ( medical / construction/ food/hygene/ clothing/ect) each trip to Mexico
SAMACHIQUE : since 2004 we have assisted the staff of Mexico Medical Missions who built a first class hospital in remote Tarahumara country .We have committed to come along side them in what ever needs they might have November first through mid December . The midwifery training program and surgical nursing have been great uses of Ester's medical training as well as helping lead visiting groups with construction projects.

From 1999 through 2005 Ester worked full time in state Chihuahua Mexico as a missionary.
building and staffing clinics for the Misteco and Tarahumara Indians, and working alongside various ministries to serve the poor areas of the Mexican people. Alan has joined her since 2002.
Since 2006 (after we had our daughter Jasmine) we continued to go to remote Mexico for 3 to 4 months each fall in the locations we worked the years before.
Now that we only go for 3 to 4 months a year we joined in partnership with organizations we worked with over the years to support their full time work in the same areas.
Due to the increasing violence of drugcartels in Mexico we as of 2010 no longer take teams in untill safer to do so...we will post that right here if we think it's safe enough ...you can always contact us about this or other options to go to mexico though.
